Referee Application - My7on7 Youth Football Referee

My7on7 is a non-contact passing league for grades K-8. Its goal is to serve area football kids wanting to develop their offensive and defensive football skills in the off-season. Over a 6-week period, teams will have 7-8 games and opportunities for specialized training in offensive, defensive and quarterback skills. My7on7 is seeking high school referees to officiate the youth football league and assist with Kindergarten players.

Job responsibilities include

  • Officiate at weekly youth football games (6 weeks total), to maintain standards of play and to ensure that game rules are observed. 
  • Officiate at National Tournament to be hosted May 8th & 9th at Wayzata High School.
  • Judge performances in order to award points, impose scoring penalties, and determine results.
  • Signal participants or other officials to make them aware of infractions or to otherwise regulate play.
  • Inspect sporting equipment and/or examine participants in order to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations.
  • Keep track of game times including, starting or stopping play when necessary.
  • Verify final scores and report to site manager.
  • Explain the rules and regulations as necessary.
  • Assist with Kindergarten players in learning the game of football.

Required Skills/Availability: 

Performing General Physical Activities -- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as running, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

 

Available for the dates and times as follows:

Saturday April 10th & Sundays April 11th, April 18th, April 25th, & May 2nd (Regular Season)

May 8th & May 9th (National Tournament)

Times will vary by site, but in general from 3:00pm-8:00pm.

 

Locations include:
Blaine, Eagan, Eden Prairie, Lakeville, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Rochester, St. Cloud, Wayzata, Woodbury, West Des Moines (IA)

 

Pay Range:
$10 - $15/hour depending on experience. 

 

Certification:
There will be a mandatory ONLINE training on Thursday, March 4th at 7:00pm. If you can't make this, please let us know ASAP.
