Referee Application - My7on7 Youth Football Referee

My7on7 is a non-contact passing league for grades K-8. Its goal is to serve area football kids wanting to develop their offensive and defensive football skills in the off-season. Over a 5-week period, teams will have 7-8 games and opportunities for specialized training in offensive, defensive and quarterback skills. My7on7 is seeking high school referees to officiate the youth football league and assist with Kindergarten players.

Job responsibilities include

  • Officiate at weekly youth football games (5 weeks total), to maintain standards of play and to ensure that game rules are observed. 
  • Judge performances in order to award points, impose scoring penalties, and determine results.
  • Signal participants or other officials to make them aware of infractions or to otherwise regulate play.
  • Inspect sporting equipment and/or examine participants in order to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations.
  • Keep track of game times including, starting or stopping play when necessary.
  • Verify final scores and report to site manager.
  • Explain the rules and regulations as necessary.
  • Assist with Kindergarten players in learning the game of football.

Required Skills/Availability: 

Performing General Physical Activities -- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as running, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

 

Available for the dates and times as follows:

Dates and times vary by location. In general season begins Sunday September 13th.

Times frame will be 11-1PM

Locations include:
Eden Prairie

 

Pay Range:
$11 - $15/hour depending on experience.

 

Certification:
There will be a mandatory in person training on Thursday, September 10th at 5:30pm at the Eden Prairie High School Grass Field E/F. If you can't make this, please let us know ASAP.
